SANTA FE COUNTY
The member will describe broadband technology in a manner that is approachable and can be used for educating the general public; survey current broadband capacity and deficiencies across the County; identify procedural, policy and financial impediments to broadband expansion; research innovative methods for expanding access to high speed internet; compile a complete list of funding opportunities for expansions of county broadband infrastructure; and develop broadband expansion funding proposals. The Member’s will write a plan describing workforce development initiatives and the services they offer; conduct outreach and surveying of local businesses and industry for workforce needs; research future workforce projections; analyze gaps in the current and future workforce development programs; analyze strategies for addressing workforce gaps; and develop recommendations for workforce development initiatives that could be implemented by Santa Fe County.
